Six Degrees

When the group started with the experiment, there was very little certainty that we would be able to create a full circle back to our center person: Erik Lim. We went so far as to make the circumstances and premise of the aforementioned experiment to prove the Six Degrees of Separation false—we were targeting another college (particularly the College of Education) in order to make this so. We asked Kara Katigbak, a classmate of Erik in one of his floating subjects from whom we were able to discern to be a student from CED. Then, from her, we asked her to refer to people who she knew from her college; then, from that person, another person again. So on and so forth.

It got to a point where we were able to find the sixth and last person for interviewing. It also happened that this person turned out to be a CED student who shifted to the College of Computer Studies. But it wasn't this connection or network that Erik knew him—rather, it was that they were actually from the same high school. It's really all amazing, if you think about it.. because somehow even if we had tried to go as far away from CCS as possible, we ended up back again to our home college even though technically our last person was originally from CED. In the end, it's quite hard to disprove the theory even if you start out intending to do it. :)

Here's some other additional readings:

Then our schedule:

SOCCOMP assignment.

Hello, guys!

As you all know, we have our next group assignment on worldbuilding. I'm not sure when Iincho or Erik-kun will be uploading the pictures taken from class, but at the moment, I'd like you to visit the following sites:

http://www.sfwa.org/writing/worldbuilding1.htm
http://www.web-writer.net/fantasy/days/index.html
http://www.seventhsanctum.com/www/wwwfull.html

I'm sure that there are a whole lot of other resources on the net (I know, I've seen lots of them!), but these three are just about my favorite ones to visit. I've already have a few concepts about what I want to add (that's already including Ryvin's suggestion of having no school and stuff. xD) but a whole lot of our ideas should make it all the more better!

Oh, btw. Haven't fixed the site yet; I'm sorry for that. I'm kinda rushing something, and I won't be home tonight. >< I'll be back tomorrow though. (:

Cheers!
